One Za’abeel Wins “Best Innovative Project of The Year” Award for the Second Consecutive Year

Dubai, UAE, November 25th, 2020: Ithra Dubai, a leading real-estate developer wholly owned by the Investment Corporation of Dubai, announced today another achievement for its iconic One Za’abeel. The revolutionary mixed-use development received the Best Innovative Project of The Year Award at the Innovation in Construction & FM Awards 2020, during an exclusive gala dinner held yesterday at the Sofitel Dubai, The Obelisk.
Organized annually by BNC Publishing, The Innovation in Construction & FM Awards 2020 is one of the most prestigious regional events celebrating outstanding projects in the construction and facilities management industry and recognises individual excellence, corporate strengths, and project success.
The award acknowledges One Za’abeel’s significant contribution to Dubai’s architectural landscape and adherence to construction best practices, in addition to the innovative use of construction techniques and technologies.

One Za’abeel is 45% developed and will be completed in stages starting Q4 2021. The project aims to achieve the highest standards of sustainability as it implements the Gold LEED certification requirements in every aspect of its design and functionality.
Ithra Dubai demonstrated innovative and resourceful planning in operating one of the heaviest lifts in the region weighing around 9,500 tons during the two-phased lift of the epic structure of “The Link,” the highlight of the project.
The 226 meter-long cantilevered building dissecting One Za’abeel’s distinctive two towers at 100 meters above ground level was completed in October 2020, and is now attempting to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the “Longest Cantilevered Building” in the world. The unique structure of The Link, an engineering marvel, will offer uninterrupted views of Dubai’s skyline and an exclusive choice in hospitality, fine dining and entertainment including Michelin-star restaurants, an infinity pool, a luxury spa and an observation deck.
Built over a total area of 530,000 square meters, One Za’abeel will be unmatched in its offering and will stand out as Dubai’s most prestigious business address and a haven for travellers. The development is set to redefine the mixed-use concept in the region by providing the finest in retail, residential and office space and claiming the world’s first urban vertical resort under the One&Only brand. One Za’abeel will boast 263 high-end residential units, three floors of high-end retail and leisure experiences at The Gallery, 497 ultra-luxury hotel rooms and serviced apartments, and premium Grade A offices.
